청춘기록 에피소드 1을 보면서 한국어 대사를 영어로 바꾸어보는 영어공부 재밌게 하는 시간을 가져볼까 합니다.

지난 시간에 이어, 청춘기록 에피소드 1의 세번째 이야기를 해보도록 하겠습니다.

• 나 먼저간다 I should get going now.

• 깔보다 look down

• 말도 안되게 absurdly, unreasonably, ridiculously

• 소름 that's creepy, give me chills

• 이거 와이프 갖다주세요 this is for your wife

• 해효밀고있다 I strongly recommend 해효 for the role.

• 꿈적을 않하다 not budge

• 좀 더 분발하다 keep trying harder/try to catch up with 

• 자식이 뭐라고 children are a big burden, aren’t they?/since they are your children, you are likely to do your best

• 지랄떨다 go nuts/throw a fit

• 애걸복걸하다 beg sb to 동사원형

• 나한테 익숙하다 familiar with me

• 겸손한 척 그만해라 stop being humble

• 영장 draft notice

• 삼겹살 pork belly

• 출장가다 go on a business trip

• 쉬는 날 a day off

• 빡세다 too much for her

• 운명인가봐 누구랑 누구가 are destined to meet/He must be your destiny

• 여기있습니다 Here's your order/Here you go

• 저기요 excuse me, 미국에서는 웨이터 부르는 벨이없다. 웨이터가 이름을 이야기해주면 잘 기억했다가, excuse me, 웨이터혹은 웨이트리스의 이름을 부르면 된다. 근데 보통은 웨이터나 웨이트리스가 중간중간 점검을  온다. 좀 기다렸다가 그때 이야기를 하면 된다.

• 뭐 더 필요한 거 있으신가요 can I get you anything else?

• 나만 그러냐 I'm not the only one.

• 형님은 어떠셔? How about you? What do you think about that?

• 누가 시키면 someone make me do it

• 오늘 주인공 a man of the hour

• 시대착오적 anachronistic

• 주체적이고 독립적인 삶 an autonomous and independent life

• 뉘집 딸래미인지 Your father must be very proud of you

• 애들 귀찮게 한다고 try not to bother your kids.

• 눈치보고산다 walk on eggshells/don’t you know what is going on now? (눈치 딱 깠다 : see right through that)

• 말고 instead of

• 붙박이 full-time (여기서는 알바가 아니고 정식직원의 의미였음, 가구였으면 built-in)

• 생각해보다 give it a thought

• 거절하다 turn down, reject

• ~리가 없지 there's no way/ no way/I am quite sure that you wouldn't ~/no wonder you won't ~

• 수고했다 you did a good job today

• 왜 이렇게 오래걸려 what took you so long

• 생각이 많은 날이다 have a lot on my mind/ my mind is noisy 

• 싫어싫어 no,no,no, I won't do it/ no way/ don't even thinking about it

• 쟤 좀 잡아봐 catch him if you can/ try to catch up with him

• 왠일이냐 What brings you here?

• 닉 덕 좀 보는거냐? Can I take advantage of you, finally?

• 공과 사는 구분하다 mustn't do favor for your friends

• 어련히 알아서하다 he can handle his own things/ he knows what he's doing

• 아는 길도 물어가다 it's better safe than sorry

• 건배하다  raise(propose) a toast to 명사 

• 자식이 잘 되다 your son grew into a great man/ your son turn into a great man

• 디스같은데요 you sounded like you just dissed him/it doesn't sound like a compliment/it doesn't sound like you meant it as a compliment

• 욕하다 talk behind my back(뒷담화)/ insult/diss

• 그래야 오해안하시지 so that he doesn't get me wrong.

• 디스맞아 He obviously dissed me/clearly did not mean it as a compliment

• 내가 잘났으면 동네방네 자랑하셨겠지 If I had been successful, he would have bragged about me

• 너 왜그래 What's wrong with you? /what's with you?

• 너무 사실만 말해 you are too honest/strightfoward

• 웃게 해준 상으로 in return for making me laugh
